Memoria

“Clavette has made achingly clear, the beauty has thorns, its presence can soothe, but it can tear when taken away. There is no avoiding the emotive power of these objects…”

-Ray Cronin

Memoria is one way in which Brigitte Clavette deals with the death of her partner, artist Rick Séguin, who died in 2003, after a long battle with cancer. The exhibition consists of nine works, vessels and reliquaries, some of which were begun before Séguin’s death.
